~ This is an "Abbreviated Pattern" ~
It does not include detailed step-by-step instruction or images. (It does include a construction summary.) If you know how to sew on a zipper, turn a pouch through a lining, and install rivets, this one's breeze!

ABOUT
This precious little change purse is a simple, fast and easy sew. The pattern provides pieces, templates, visual diagrams, and a one-page Reference Companion with what you need to know —  all at-a-glance on one page! The convenient rivet placement template makes layout easy. There are no corners to box. Instead the corners have a slight rounding for a refined finish. This purse is a great companion to a larger bag, and is also perfect for times when you need a quick gift.

LEVEL/SKILLS
The level would be considered advanced-beginner if it were not an abbreviated pattern.

PATTERN INCLUDES

  • 1-Page Reference Companion (key info to sew it up)
  • 5 Pieces (plus 2 provisional pieces)
  • 3 Rivet placement templates (for use with 6mm, 7mm and 8mm rivets)
  • 1 corner rounding template for exterior seam stitching

MATERIALS NEEDED
The purse was designed to be sewn using a non-woven such as vinyl or leather, but a quilting cotton can also be used if properly stabilized. The lining uses quilting cotton interfaced with a fusible woven; or you can use a waterproof canvas if preferred.

Fabric

  • Main Exterior Front and Back: 15" x 10"
  • Front Exterior Accent: 3" x 5"
  • Lining: 15" x 10"
  • Fusible Woven Interfacing (e.g. Pellon SF101) for the lning.
(You'll need more if using cotton for the exterior)

Hardware

  • 7-Inch Zipper: #3, #4.5 or #5 - your choice. (Trimmed to size later)
  • 8 Rivets:  6mm recommended, but up to 8mm can be used.

Also see image of Back Cover for more general info.
