The required skill/experience to participate is "Intermediate" bag maker. We will be making the Hamptons Hobo pattern which is designed to be made in leather and exclusive to this event. 

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This is an incredible opportunity for an intermediate bag maker who is on the cusp of jumping into leather and industrial machines. There is so much value packed into this workshop it’s hard to know where to start. First off, Sunny Sewing will have an industrial machine for every participant to use so you don’t need to bring a machine.  And there will also be cylinder arms and bell skivers set up for shared use.  Frog Jelly will be supplying our leather, and it will be top quality Italian hand bag leather……PLUS it will be pre-cut for you. 

Leather techniques will be the focus…. Skiving, edge coating, stabilizers, adhesives will get a attention. It’s just such a great opportunity, especially for anyone who’s not quite sure if they want to invest in an industrial machine or have wanted to dabble in leather but didn’t know where to start. You will need to be a solid intermediate bag maker. Instruction will focus on new skills and techniques, so you need to be comfortable taking direction versus being provided instruction on the basics. We will be making the Hamptons Hobo pattern exclusive to the workshop. There’s nothing to fear and so many possibilities!!

LOCATION: The workshop will be held at FrogJelly Leather in Arlington, TX.  Sunny Sewing Machines will be furnishing industrial machines for the event.

COST

When you purchase the event registration you understand and agree that you will also be required to purchase the additional items indicated below in order to participate.

• Leather-Craft Materials/Supply Fee = $SOLD OUT
  Payable at door during check-in.
  
  
• There may be some items on the tools/supply list specific to leather-craft beyond typical sewing supplies that you may currently not own. While there will be items for shared use, you may need to purchase your own.

• TRAVEL: All long-distance and local transportation at your own expense
• LODGING:  At your own expense. However we have arranged for a discounted group rate at the ALoft Euless Hotel
  
• OTHER MATERIALS: You bring the required lining fabric, stabilizers, zippers, as outlined in the pattern requirements
  
• SUPPLIES: You bring typical sewing tools/supplies and some required leather-craft specific tools as specified in the Pattern Requirements list.
