Fun and easy for all levels. (However If using leather, this pattern assumes you have some leather craft skill and the necessary tools/supplies.)

FINISHED SIZES

  • Emblem Boxes (Round-top emblem and square-top emblem)
    Small:  4.5"w x 3.5"d x 3.75"h  |  Long 6.25"w x 3.5"d x 3.5"h
  • Basic Box - (No emblem)
    Small: 4.5"w x 3.5"d x 2.375"h

REQURED MATERIALS

Main Body: Non-Woven fabric or leather.

  • Exterior Body:  Vinyl, cork or leather. If Leather, use 2-3o in medium temper.
  • Interior Body:  Vinyl, cork or leather. If Leather use 2o in soft-to-medium temper

Bag Stiffener:  A rigid cellulose-board stiffener such as Texon or Bontex. (Kraft-Tex can also be used if doubled in one area as designated in pattern. Both a thick and thin stiffener are used. See below. (Pattern includes an appendix with sources. See page image in gallery or click to download PDF.)

Hardware:  4 Double-Capped Rivets in 6-7mm (If leather you may need 8mm)

Optional Accent Material:  As imdicated in separate accent add-on patterns. Dimensions wil vary depending on selected accent.

TOOLS/SUPPLIES

  • Tailors/Leather awl
  • Small sharp scissors along with -acto-type utility knife
  • Circular hole punch 2-2.5mm
  • Rivet installation tools
  • Erasable silver-ink pen
  • Long Non-marring duck-bill hair clip
  • Metal roller/brayer
  • Optional edge-fnishing

Adhesives

  • If Vinyl/Cork:  use a fabric glue such as Fabri-Tac or Beacons
    If Leather:  use a leather contact cement

PATTERN INCLUDES

A box in 3 styles. Each style comes in Small and Long:

  • Basic Box (Plain/No emblem)
  • Round-Top Box (Fits 2-3" emblem)
  • Square-Top Box (Fists 4" wide rectangular emblem)

Also includes aids:

  • PDF with SVG cut files
  • Placement Templates
  • Material thickness and comparision charts

Note: Emblems are separately available as pattern add-ons.
