This listing is for a downloadable digital PDF pattern that includes an SVG cut file. The PDF and SVG is compressed into one downloadable ZIP file. There are NO refunds or discounts issued once ordered/paid and/or the digital items are fulfilled.  

 

ABOUT
Add style and function to small bags with these zipper overlay pockets.  Pattern features two styles of overlays -- a basic style and a tabbed-style for logos. Each style comes in 3 sizes for a total of 6 overlays. Lining pieces are also included, although you may need to adjust pocket height depending on your bag.  The pockets are perfect for small items you want to keep separate from the main inside contents. 

 

FILES:   1 PDF and 1 SVG cut file compressed into a downloadable zip file. Your device must be able to download and unzip the file. 

LEVEL/SKILL: Intermediate. Pattern includes detailed step-by-step photo instruction. (The Jordan Craft Case in XL is used in the photo instruction. Two of the three sizes fit the Jordan XL.)

MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR ONE IN "SMALL" (WHICH IS LARGEST SIZE)

Fabric
Dimensions below include pre-cutting.

  • Overlay: 7.75" wide x 5.25"high
    Type: Non-Woven such as vinyl, cork or leather.
    If leather, use 2.5-3oz in a medium temper
    If vinyl: use one with some structure, avoiding spongy vinyls or those with  a backing that will show white on the sides and/or won't take edge finish due to bleed.
  • Pocket Lining: 7.25"wide x 5.25"high
    Type:  Medium-weight woven, or waterproofresistant canvas. 
    Alternatively use a light-weight such as quilting cotton by  adding SF101 interfacting.
  • Hardware:  #5 Zipper/Pull @ 7.5" long with pull attached.

Supplies/Tools

  • Double-sided tape (aka DST)
  • Optional Edge Finishing: Leather edge paint and related application tools/supplies or a non-bleed acrylic paint pen/market
  • Cutting:  medium sharp scissor, rotary cutter, X-acto-type utility knife. (Duck-bill scissors, while not required, will come in handy.)
  • Other: typical sewing supplies
